rugby world cup 2007 update

this weekend sees the start of the exciting part, of the world cup with the last pool stage matches and there are some must win games, the winners move on to the knock stages the losers pack and catch nest flight.

Friday at 8pm bst England play Tonga in pool a who ever wins joins South Africa, the way both sides have been playing i wouldn't place any bets, in the next round South Africa will play the winners of wales v Fiji who play on Saturday at 4pm bst. the winners of pool b Australia will play England or Tonga .

in pool c New Zealand are the winners and will play any of 3 sides in pool is so close, at the moment(Tues 25th) Argentina are the leaders of the pool France 2nd and Ireland 3rd but with only 5 points between 1st and 3rd, and 4 points for a win plus a bonus point available it could go any way, my feeling is Argentina to win with Ireland 2nd this would see new Zealand play Ireland and Argentina will play the winners of yet another winner takes all match between Scotland and Italy which kicks off at 8pm bst Saturday night.

On another note i must say how disappointed i'am about the way the USA eagles have played especially in the 1st match against England, i had to keep checking to see it was the USA national team playing and not some schoolboy team, They made so many basic errors that if it was a peewee team would be understandable, i felt if they had played on the top of their game they could have beaten England and would be up their challenging instead of sitting at the bottom of the pool with zero points

long week

I don't know who came up with the phase "its been a long week" but this week felt like it had 10 days, by 3pm Friday i could've laid down in the warehouse and gone to sleep, Monday i was on the local radio
http://www.original106.com/blog.php?id=153328&entryId=27&x=y with one of my pics, Tues -Thurs it was just very busy selling storage heaters (yes storage heaters its still summer sort of) and we're selling heaters, Fri was not bad but still hectic.

BTW we are selling this as a Xmas gift

STOP TYPING
South Africa only just beat Tonga this afternoon (sat) so England will need to be on top form to beat them next Fri and get through to next stage, mind you they've got to beat Samoa this afternoon first

world in union 2007

The 2007 version of one of my fav songs

After this weekend we'll see what the pool tables really look like, but as it stands at the moment England could be on their way home sooner then they think, they are in 3rd behind South Africa and Tonga!!!!!!

Gloucster start with a win

glaws start at the top of the table after their 8 try thrashing of newly promoted Leeds, with new boy Lesley Vainikolo scoring 5 of them on his Guinness premiership debut, Simpson-Daniel, Allan and Balshaw got the others and Lamb kicked 9 points. final score Leeds 24 Gloucester 49, so glaws get the 4 points plus an important bonus point. This puts Gloucester top of the table on points difference over that side from the north east who also won.

you can tell its the end of summer, as it starting to A} get darker earlier and B} get colder had to put a jumper on this afternoon. Also noticed that the leaves on the trees out the back are starting to turn brown, with the clocks going back in a few weeks, yes summer is over and it will soon be Xmas.

last nights rugby

well south Africa beat England last night, no they didn't just beat them they thrashed them 36-nil, most of you know I'm a Gloucester fan, I'm a bit pissed along with some others that there are no Gloucester players in the England side, BTW Gloucester finished top of the English league last season, That's right no one from the team that finished top of the league is in the England team, wales, Scotland, Italy and Fiji all have Gloucester players that's why I've decided to

the same thing happened a few years ago when Gloucester cricket were top of the one day game, they won all 3 one day cups in the same season and yet not one Gloucester player made it into the England side, of course i can't say that if some Gloucester players were playing last night the result might have been different, but when England won the world cup in 2003 their were Gloucester players on the team

it doesn't happen that much

Today one of those rare things happened, a customer went out of his way to thank me for helping him, he even told my area manager how please he was, the story is on Tuesday he found he had a problem with the power supply to his stand at the boat show http://www.southamptonboatshow.com/ (which opens tomorrow 14Th) but it had to be up and running today, i designed, had built and shipped a multi outlet panel 1x 32amp 2p+e 230 in 8x 16amp 2p+e 230 out. he had it this morning at 9am. He says he's going to get me some free tickets to the show as well. i wish all customers were like this

earlier still

i think I'm started to turn into a live to work instead of work to live,
its 05:35 and I'm up and nearly ready for work, doing a 7 to 5 today, its Thursday so only got tomorrow then its the weekend, rugby world cup matches I'll be watching are Wales v Australia on sat 2pm bst kick off and Samoa v Tonga on sun 3pm kick off this one will be a fast paced hammer and tongs match,

the USA were unlucky to lose to Tonga yesterday it was one of those matches that could have gone either way

that n this

"its 6 o clock in the morning and...."
that's some words to a song?? anyway its actually 06:24, I'm up dressed in my uniform ready to leave for work, not 100% awake yet but I'm up and running, why are most of my online friends always like 5 hrs behind, just as we start to get chatting i have to leave as I'm falling asleep,

its started to get lighter later in the morning now and is also colder, which is a pain as i have to wear a jacket to work then carry it home as its to warm to wear at home time, work is a lot better this week as got an extra pair of hands ( a guy from one of the new branches is getting some training)

well i can't think of anything else to ramble on about so thats it

rugby world cup 2007

got the lagers ready

6 months ago this was me sat at the bar watching the sunset, now I'm sat here in my flat on the south coast of UK, feeling a little cold, but i think that's more to do with the fact that my front window (which is at the back of the building) is north facing. The most switched on amongst you will have noticed that I'm posting this when I'm normally work, well i have dentist at 9:20 so going late then I'm off to Gloucester tomorrow for 3 days, my boss is loving me this week as he will having to open up and lock up,

Of course i planned my journey home with out thinking, should get to the station at 4pm which give me an hour to get back home and sat in front of the TV before the England v USA match.

This year sucks

Well its official this year does as Dan the manhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/nead4d5/ would say sucks,
Jan and the start of Feb were OK had 2 weeks in Negril Jamaica, http://www.negril.combut the moment i came home and had a birthday its been downhill ever since, first i had a health problem (that's sorted now, means no more rugby playing or throwing myself off of things, but hey I'm alive) second my family got caught up in the flooding that hit Gloucester, and had no power or water for awhile, then one of my nephews died the other week, his service is on Thursday, at the same time as the one for little Rhys Jones (the 11 year old boy who got shot in the neck as he walked home from playing football)

its got me thinking maybe its time to live the uk and head for a new country.
